How many times in a day you want to just stop worrying about life? How often do you feel overwhelmed looking at the to do list? Do you search on google for a destination to detox your mind – saying I need a BREAK. If your answer to the following questions is YES then my friend your mental landscape is being overworked. Watch out – What are you thinking about as it is causing a toll on your mental well-being.
Self-talk is a continuous alarm that keeps buzzing all through reminding you of all the nitty gritty revolving around you. That’s the noise which is persistently playing as a background music. Take a pause, close your eyes and be aware of yourself. You will observe them just streaming. Some of your thoughts may be negative, positive or useless. The irony is that it occupies some space. It’s just like your working table, if you keep it cluttered with wasteful possession, it effects your productivity. It’s easy to organise your work desk when you feel stuck. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with our minds. The more you focus on throwing away negative thoughts the faster it pops back.
If our mind could be fully organised, a place where we choose to input thoughts that inspires, uplifts and mesmerises us. It would be as serene as the tranquil sky. Our mind is just like a naughty monkey which loves troubles. The monkey mind makes you unaware of your present state, the joy of experiencing being in the present moment.
Our brain contains 100 billion neurons, another billion in our spinal cord. Our super computer which is just of our fist size is processing all the details it experiences and analyses them to put them into the boxes formed through our experience. These thoughts create our reality-our perception of the world. What you think is either related to your past or future, you feel chained into the vicious circle. You are playing two roles – the thinker and the judger. These dynamics infect us with a painful emotion. These feelings rob us of the joy of living a beautiful life. Should we let our monkey mind devoid us of happiness. Can’t we become an observer of our thoughts. Thinking is an automatic process but the pattern of our thoughts is habitual. We can separate ourself from our thought process by being self-aware. We can tame the monkey within us by disempowering the useless thoughts. Decluttering the space by having clarity to prioritize what’s most important for our inner peace and happiness. When you open your mind space a new world of creativity, inspiration, brilliance and abundance of opportunities lies in front of you. Stop battling with your thoughts, start impacting your thoughts to improve the quality of your life in a profound way.
